The first is French, the second Italian, Jerry Bouthier and Andrea Gorgerino are the London-based duo JBAG .
Part of the Kitsuné family, sound designer of Vivienne Westwood and other fashion labels, dj/producer and A&R-music consultant Jerry Bouthier is also running digital imprint Continental records and its international roster of rising talents (Reflex, Shindu, Cyclist, Mannequine, Mjolnir, Boys Get Hurt…).

A classically trained musician turned skilled producer Andrea Gorgerino is the virtuoso, the man with the golden ears who started piano at 5, studied harmony at 12 and completed his SAE diploma at 24.

The pair were resident djs at London’s infamous BoomBox club (now morphed into style mag Ponystep) and are often found spinning at the parties of the fashion world (Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Gareth Pugh, Colette, Givenchy, Top Shop…).

Bonding over a mutual passion for sad yet happy melodies mixed to solid grooves - you could call it balearic - the pair draws from its multiple influences, indie, italo, disco, house, electro, funk… all tied up by a little pop twist and the will to bring inspired sunshine to the dancefloor.

Bouthier has released several mixed cds on Kitsuné among which the Soleil summer-themed series (with label boss Gildas). JBAG have remixed Two Door Cinema Club, The Sugababes’ Siobhan Donaghy, Ladyhawke, RÜFÜS, S-Express, Jupiter, Punks Jump Up, Gigamesh etc and are about to release the follow up to their ‘Mogadisco’ single, one of last summer’s tropical anthems, a collaboration with the singer of Poland’s successful electronic band Kamp! titled ‘Through Blue’.
