Members of FAMY, Wu Lyf and Profondo have teamed up to
form - something of a supergroup - Los Porcos.
The band describe themselves as 'Disco House Pigs', which
offers a small insight to the name, and in their own words sound “relaxed,
feminine and fun, combining a sense of tradition and a modern eclectic
attitude that says “who cares it’s only rock n roll, but I
like it!”
Their single certainly lives up to the aforementioned
claim, lead track ‘Sunshine’ is a fast-paced cosmic summer
anthem that features jangly guitars and prominent drums throughout building
into a glorious, uplifting chorus. It makes you feel… alright, whilst
flipside ‘C.F.W’ (meaning ‘Classically Feminine Woman’)
is a slow synth-led track with a chilled European feel - all making for
one of the most impressive and inspired debut's of 2013.
