Magistrates + Holiday for Strings + The Bridport Dagger
Tuesday, April 14
Bio Snippet: "Growing up in their teens in Essex listening to the Indie bands of their generation, they fuse what they were taught and combine it with influences from artists like Prince, Talking Heads and David Bowie creating what is Magistrates." HFS are over from Sweden and come on a bit like the current crop of Norwegian via Berlin indie to dance to. tBD quote: "East london's own bassless flamencobilly/garage-folk trio, specializing in short, echo-y blasts of glorious noise" Joseph K, Scottt Walker and Wire are first in their influences list and the first time I saw them... I was impressed and by now I'm pretty jaded.

After all of that we were supposed to have DJ Mujava on the decks. He was responsible for one of the biggest tracks of last year - 'Township Funk' - you heard it at White Heat, you heard it pretty much everywhere else and now he's signed to Warp. Sadly he's had to cancel the tour as he's not well enough to travel. Hopefully he'll reschedule soon.
