Drowned in Sound are big fans of these guys and are sponsoring the gig too.
Here's what they have to say:
JOHNNY FOREIGNER... Take all your favourite parts of brain-sizzling
indie past - Kinsella twists and Pavement riffs, intelligent lyricism and
catchy melodies - and meld them with pop's imminent future: punchy percussion
and streamlined synths, sing-along choruses and heavy-duty hooks. The Birmingham-based
trio's debut album 'Waited Up 'Til It Was Light' ranks among 2008's best,
and was shortlisted for DiS's inaugural Pluto Prize.
DANANANANAYKROYD... Scottish sensations lighting up
stages wherever they go; a whirling sextet full of flailing limbs and screaming
throats, clap-along breakdowns and euphoric highs. Picture in your mind the
best party imaginable, bodies packed tight and sweaty, everybody smiles: without
even trying, you've pictured your standard Dana gig, minus the delightful
hairs-on-end heat and torrentially exuded energy.
